AO came up in Boston, MA playing drums in local bars and jazz clubs throughout his adolescent and teenage years. He went to Berklee College of Music, until a series of injuries that restricted the use of his left arm kept him from his first instrument.
At the urging of a teacher and spurred on by a chance meeting with Paul Simon, Almost Owen moved to New Delhi, India where he began writing and recording his own songs. He spent almost a year there, teaching music and performing throughout the country.
Since then, AO has played over 500 shows in the US and abroad. He’s now back in his home city gearing up to release his first album Late Night Dangerous.
